There are a number of creative ways you can get bookings for parties, and in this article I will elaborate on four techniques you can use yourself! 1. Lucky Envelopes - Buy ten small envelopes, then grab ten business cards. On the back of each business card, write a special offer such as Double Hostess Rewards, Free Shipping, $20 off, 10% off, Free product and so on. Put a business card into each envelope and write 'Booking Special' on the front in funky writing. You now have 2 options! As the customers come in, give them the envelope and tell them not to open it. Wait until the end of the party when you do your booking bid. If anyone asks what the envelopes are for, just say it's a surprise and move on! After this, say to the guests that anyone who books a party gets to open their envelope. The suspense will make people book just to know what is in the envelope! Fan the envelopes out in your hand and when you go around to each of the guests to take their orders ask if they would like to book at party and pick a lucky envelope. After you have asked for all orders, ask if anyone else would be interested in getting a lucky envelope for booking a party. 2. Floating Calendar - When you attend a party, take with you a calendar that covers the next three weeks. At the party, pass the calendar around with a pen and you'll be surprised how many people will book themselves in to host a party. You can even offer a 'Pick a Date and Win' game where you choose a day on the three week calendar and keep it in your mind (maybe write it down!). Then whoever happens to book on that day and hold the party gets double hostess rewards. 3. Parking Lot Bid - Attach a "Please take one" pocket (sheet protectors will do the job) and hang books and business cards on the mirror of your car when you go shopping. People are always nearly banging into your mirrors so it will get lots of attention! 4. Dice Gamble - Grab some dice. The bigger the better! Ask if anyone wants to take a chance and roll. The outcome of the dice roll is as follows: 1 - Cough up a dollar!
