How do I extend my business with Bookings?

By Margaret Furnace

When booking parties and attending them comes around, is a rule of Party Plan to book from the show. The 1st Booking replaces the one you are at, 2nd Booking extends your business, 3rd Booking if a bonus.

Below are some tips to consider whilst doing your show, and how to get bookings from the show.

When sending out information to the customer add in a competition for bookings, maybe use of the Guest Bingo game as listed in Tips/Resources section under Games on the left hand side. Once you lick on it, it gives you the option to download the game. My suggestion is to download and alter to suit the types of customers you would like to attract.

Have a discussion with your customer in regards to trying to acheive a certain amount of sales and bookings before you get there, it is the better when a friend convinces someone to have a party as that potential host/ess already has a guaranted guest.

Give your host/ess a phone call approximatley a week before the party and again 2 days before. Just to see if there is anything that you can help your host/ess with to maximise their benefits.

The day of the party arrives. Always arrive on time at least 30 mins before the party (depending on set up time you require for your products) Make sure you have enough time to have a chat with your host/ess and collect any bookings and or orders. Also give the host/ess the option to leave the party open for a couple of days to a week for extra orders.

When guests start arriving greet them personally, a game that I love playing is another one linked to the Tips/Recsources section then click games, it is called Dice Gamble. It is a fun game to play. Again this game is on the downloads page, When changing the lists make at least 3 - 4 of the numbers Book a party to receive (bonus rewards like addtional 1/2 price items or something like that)

Whilst doing the Party take note on what your potential customers are looking at. Always make the plug for parties but never over do, if you push people to have parties most of the time the cancel and become a dead lead so always use something for booking like Mystery Envelopes, or something that jumps out.

My favourite is the Mystery Envelopes, as I have decorated a box with glitter and stars (grabs attention) people often ask me what is in it. When I get the booking part of the party, I always ask if anyone would like to see what this box contains then they need to book a party with me. I do however give away an idea and say that it worth at least $10 in value. For this box I used out of date candles, stock that I no longer carry, and some items such as a bottle of champers and chocolates. I have been considering doing a few lotto tickets or scratchies to add another form of bonus. Who would not like free money?????

Once the party is finished I go to another room with a catalogue, customer order booklet, calculater atc, and wait for the potential customers to have a look through the stock, pick up, smell etc. Once they have made their decision they come and see me.

Now this is where I get most of my parties. When the customer sits down to place the order I usually ask if they liked the products that I have shown and generally get some feedback. (This is great because it enables you to see from the customers eye)

Also I ask if there is anything that they would like to purchase as gifts etc, if there is a few items I then list them for the customer and work out if they were interested in having a party and they got this amount of sales it would work out to cost them $-- instead of the original amount of $--. 4 out of 10 parties is booked like that. Also another great addition is with new stock soming in regularly I save the stock up and use it for booking tools as a new release.

Again use your hostess too as she will be able to get party bookings easier as people are always aware of the Party Plan Consultant looking for bookings.

We need to teach the potential customers that Party Plan is not pushy and unpersonal, it has now changed in the times.
